Baltimore Block Party
She told me her name was Tina Madonna only after-the-fact. I first crossed her path in a rather infamous alley in Belleville. I was with friends drinking rosé at Aux Follies and suddenly I heard Edith Piaf blaring from an open window just above from where I was enjoying my tasty beverage. Then he/she leaned out the same window with passion and extravagant body movement, in an outfit that you can only imagine in a bizarre dream. He/she was giving us a show, yet appearing oblivious of all the people below drinking and watching. I turned to a friend and asked who he/she was and that I must get the opportunity to photograph him/her. Two weeks later I enter into his/her home where Im sure no other photographer has had the opportunity to photograph. My experience was nothing but pure joy. I find out she identifies as a woman and in the process of changing her sex. Her childhood story could be called tragic... horrifying and yet... all I felt was love from her. I felt safe and appreciated. During our time, she shared her stories, treasures and talents as we drank a bottle of wine. She makes her living as a prostitute (from what I got from the translation) and is best known as an ever-reliable figure, artist and perhaps icon, in the heart of Belleville.

Bruno Wandji - PARIS- Champion Show Jumper - Surrendering into Freedom
This is a true story of a man who decided to give up his successful corporate career to pursue his love and passion for showing and raising beautiful horses. This is his 4yr old stallion he raised from birth.
This is my interpretation of the journey one man makes to completely know the fullness that his life has to offer. The horse acts as a metaphor for Faith and our relationship with Faith when faced with life-changing decisions. The series is also about the modern man surrounded by old ways of civilization and its rules that no longer work for him… and the actions he takes to break free to find himself.
